There has been a very heated debate in the last few years about which diet is best for weight loss. The three candidates are low-carb diet, low fat diet and the Mediterranean-style diet, which would help people lose more weight than, of course, the more traditional diets.

Low fat has been the longest diet around, and anyone who has had several studies performed on it to test its effectiveness in cause weight loss.
